VIRIDI and Green Enesys Sign SPA with Axpo

VIRIDI RE GmbH and Green Enesys Group GmbH are pleased to announce the signing of a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Axpo for the 100 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located in Neunburg, Bayern. This transaction marks a significant milestone in the expansion of large-scale energy storage infrastructure in Germany. 

The Neunburg BESS project, with a planned power of 100 MW and a capacity of 200 MWh, is set to become a key asset supporting grid flexibility and renewable energy integration in the region. 

NEON and Sterr-Kölln & Partner have acted as legal advisors for the transaction.

This agreement underscores the commitment of VIRIDI RE, Green Enesys Group, and Axpo to advancing Germany’s energy transition by enabling the deployment of innovative storage solutions. The addition of this BESS project strengthens Axpo’s presence in the storage sector and highlights the strong development capabilities of VIRIDI RE and Green Enesys Group.
